Maintaining the islands vernacular of utilizing traditional gable style roof designs and incorporating large dormers I created visually interesting overall building form. Taking full advantage of the site location the duplex is situated so the main living space and bedrooms are oriented to capture full views of Saint Paul’s Salt Lagoon.

The exterior color scheme is derived from the red volcanic scoria and the green grass of summer. Attic ventilation baffles are cleverly concealed at the ridgeline of each roof.
